Coach Brent Weakly did something unprecedented for a high school football program.
He scrapped his entire offensive playbook and installed an entirely new system. The veteran coach explains after his team had a difficult time moving the football in its week four contest at Clinton and then again the next week against Tuscola, he decided a change was necessary.
This summer, Coach Weakly threw a lot at his team early and notes there were some growing pains but also focused on what they do well to build on that.
A&M will have the luxury of bringing back a great deal of its experience from last season including its offensive line and a defense that was very good. Coach Weakly has 15 seniors and calls them 'coach pleasers'.
Coach Weakly says with having to find a new tailback, he has a few players he believes could take that role but he hopes to see one rise above the rest and become the lead tailback for his team.
Central A&M will open the season at LeRoy.
