The Warrensburg-Latham football program is hoping to put a string of bad luck behind them and return to the postseason this fall.
In 2021, the Cardinals qualified for the postseason with five wins but did not make the playoffs as they did not have the points to be among the 256 teams selected. Coach Aaron Fricke says after a 2-7 season last year, they are eager to get out there this fall and return to the postseason since his first year in Warrensburg.
Late last season, Coach Fricke and his staff started making changes to their offense and this summer was the continuation of the installation of that. He says it's nothing groundbreaking and they are trying to keep it simple.
Coach Fricke says the goal is to get to the postseason this year and make sure they do more than just qualify.
The Cardinals are at Tri-Valley to start the year.
