In a game heard on Your Easy Choice 95.9 FM WEZC, the Monticello Sages defeated the Rantoul Eagles 63-12 in a Homecoming matchup on Friday night. Mason High was named the ServPro Piatt/DeWitt Counties Sages Player of the Game for scoring a touchdown as a defensive lineman.
With the win, Monticello improves to 4-2 on the season and 3-2 in the Illini Prairie Conference. Rantoul drops to 0-6 overall and 0-5 in conference action. Rantoul faces off against Tolono Unity next week at home.
