The Clinton Maroons slammed through the middle third of its 2023 high school football schedule highlighted by statement wins over Central A&M and Tuscola.

Maroons Coach Ron Bass is telling his kids, the work they have put in in the weight room is starting to pay off, particularly in Friday night's 49-27 Homecoming win over Tuscola with big plays being the theme of the victory.

For a couple of seasons, Coach Bass has been focusing on basic defensive formations and telling his players that as they start to execute basic concepts, they would start implementing more things. That showed up this past week against the Warriors...

Coach Bass reiterated that the work his players put in this offseason is again showing up in that they are a better football team this year from last and believes they can play with anyone - and the players are starting to buy in.
