Clinton Awaits Ruling on QB Status

Clinton senior quarterback Mason Walker faces a one-game suspension for his involvement in a Friday night altercation at Pontiac that saw him ejected.

By IHSA rules, Walker faces a one-game suspension for leaving the bench in a late-game scrum at Pontiac Friday night. Brian Ennis and Tim Holl had the call on WHOW...

Coach Ron Bass tells Regional Radio, Clinton is set to speak to the IHSA today regarding Walker's status for Saturday's first-round 3A playoff game at Sullivan.

Unofficial reports indicate Walker entered the field of play to simply break up the incident on the field.

Pontiac had a player ejected last year at Monticello High School for multiple personal foul and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. The Maroons also had a player ejected earlier in the season this year for an unsportsmanlike penalty as well.

Game time for the Maroons first round contest has been set for 1:30 pm. You can hear the action on WHOW and all its digital platforms.
