Clinton cross country has advanced both its boys' and girl's teams to this weekend's Sectional meet.

Coach Rachel Anderson-Lyons feels this group has put in the most miles she's ever had and is proud of their accomplishment to make it to the Sectional meet.

The boys' team is led by senior Drew Moser and the girls are led by senior Makayla Koeppel. Coach Anderson-Lyons says both can elevate themselves amid competition. 

Coach Anderson-Lyons credits Moser and Koeppel for their leadership and the entire team's will to put the team first. 

With rain in the forecast for Saturday's Sectional meet, many athletes or teams may see that as concerning, but for Clinton - Coach Anderson-Lyons says 'bring it on'.

This Saturday's meet is at South Shores Park in Decatur. 

Coach Anderson-Lyons says this weekend's focus for her runners is placements and making sure they have the points to advance to the State meet in Peoria.
