For the second time in four years, the Monticello Sages will travel to Du Quoin for a first-round high school football playoff matchup.

The Sages are in the postseason for the 13th time in the Cully Welter era. Coach Welter says it's always the goal to make the postseason because it is a special thing to make the postseason. 

Du Quoin offers a challenge for Monticello that should be interesting. The Sages struggle to stop the run and that is something Du Quoin does very well.
