It'll be a first for Clinton High School next weekend when the boy's and girl's cross country teams compete for a state championship next week in Peoria.

Saturday both the boy's and girl's teams advanced to the State finals.

It's the first time the boys have qualified for state since 2001 and the first time for the girls since 1993. 

Drew Moser paced the boy's runners with an eighth-place finish while Makayla Koeppel finished tenth on the girl's side.
