Blue Ridge used balanced scoring to top Calvary Christian 57-39 in a non-conference high school boy's season-opening basketball Tuesday night in Farmer City.

Colin Michaels led the Knights with 14 points and Zach Lewis added 13 points.

Blue Ridge jumped out to a 37-16 halftime advantage thanks to an 18-5 edge in the second quarter.

Isaac Price scored seven points for the Knights. Wyatt Pearl and Tommaso Paseo added six points apiece.

Blue Ridge is 1-0 on the season. 

Max Holderby led Calvary Christian with 19 points and Ty Zeller scored 11.
