It will be a rematch of a close holiday hoopla contest back in December tonight when Clinton visits Monticello in non-conference high school boys' basketball.
The Maroons took down the Sages 59-56 on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at the Sievers Center advancing the Maroons to the Holiday Hoopla championship.
Three players scored in double figures for Clinton. At 16-1, the Maroons are off to another strong start under second-year, hall-of-fame basketball coach Vic Binkley.
The Sages have won five of its last seven games and have moved to .500 on the year at 8-8. Monticello is coming off a convincing 57-26 win Saturday afternoon at the St. Joseph-Ogden Christie Clinic Shootout over New Berlin. With Saturday's win, Coach Kevin Roy became the second-winningest basketball coach in school history at 339 total victories.
The Maroons are coming off a 59-54 win on Saturday over Rochester at the Clinton New Year's Shootout.
