HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Falls Short to Auburn

A big fourth-quarter effort came up short of Maroa-Forsyth as Auburn held on for a 49-47 win Friday night in Sangamo Conference boys basketball action from Maroa.

 

Maroa-Forsyth trailed 30-21 at the half and 43-33 after three. They finished 4-for-6 at the foul line in the fourth quarter and shot 7-for-12 for the game.

 

Kaiden Maurer scored 14 of his game-best 17 points in the second half. Coby Lane scored 11 points and Zayn Giles added eight points.

 

The Trojans fall to 16-10 overall and 3-3 in the Sangamo. They will travel to Argenta-Oreana on Saturday for a 5 pm tip.
