Okaw Valley held off Argenta-Oreana 53-47 in Lincoln Prairie Conference high school boys basektball action Friday night in Bethany.
It was a battle of two of the top teams in the conference and did not disappoint.
The two teams held even scores after the first quarter, and at the half, 9-9 and 19-19 respectively.
But Okaw Valley opened it up to a 37-29 lead after three and the Bombers could not recover.
Ethan Mahan led Argenta-Oreana with 18 points. Jalynn Flowers scored 14 points.
Chase Creviston and Dylan Miller each scored 11 points to lead Okaw Valley. The Timberwolves go to 17-10 overall and 9-1 in the Lincoln Prairie. They will battle Arcola for a share of the conference title on Tuesday night.
For Argenta-Oreana, they fall to 16-11 overall and 8-2 in the conference. The Bombers battle Maroa-Forsyth on Saturday at 5 pm at home.
