The Clinton Lady Maroons came out swinging Saturday and rolled to 16-4 five-inning, run-rule win over El Paso-Gridley in non-conference girls softball action from El Paso.

Brooke Reeves reached base five times all on free passes. She scored three runs. Hadley Humble doubled twice and drove in a run and scored twice. 

Avery Smith was 1-for-4 with three RBIs for the Lady Maroons. Heidi Humble drove in a run and scored twice for Clinton while Ashley Armstrong and Aliviyah Haynes drove in runs as well.

Haynes allowed four unearned runs in five innings. She walked two and permitted five hits with five strikeouts.

The Lady Maroons move to 5-5 overall. They will travel to Warrensburg-Latham on Tuesday for a Central Illinois Conference matchup.
