HS Baseball: Normal West Rolls Bloomington

Normal West used a fast start building an early lead to get by Bloomington 12-3 in Big 12 high school baseball action from Normal West High School Monday.

 

The Wildcats put up three runs apiece in the first and second innings and quickly led 9-2 after four, adding three more runs in the sixth inning. 

 

Five Bloomington errors limited Normal West to seven hits and five RBIs. Taylor Hafermann drove in two while Brady Whitehead, Sam DesCarpentrie and Ryder Coone drove in runs.

 

Blake Crancer scored four times and Trent Durham crossed the plate twice. 

 

Since starting the season 0-4, the Wildcats have won eight of its last nine to go to 9-5 overall. They take on Champaign Central on Wednesday and Friday this week in more Big 12 action.
