HS Baseball: Clinton Walks Off GCMS

Jack Manning's single in the bottom of the seventh inning sent Clinton home with a 3-2 non-conference win over GCMS in boys baseball action Monday in Clinton.

 

The Falcons had a 2-0 lead heading to the last of the seventh. Brooks Cluver homered to bring Clinton within 2-1. Brock Wilson brought home Noah Bass to tie the game with a base hit and Manning's base hit scored Preston Curtis with the winning run.

 

Wilson went four innings of two-run ball for the Maroons. Wilson walked three and struck out four while allowing three hits. Manning worked around three walks in a scoreless inning of relief. Curtis closed it out with two innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win.

 

Clinton goes to 9-3 overall. They will travel to Warrensburg-Latham Tuesday afternoon for a Central Illinois Conference tilt.
