HS Baseball: Mt. Pulaski Throttles Cerro Gordo-Bement

Mt. Pulaski blasted four home runs and scored double-digit runs in two innings as the Hilltoppers throttled Cerro Gordo-Bement 27-3 in a run-rule, three-inning win from Cerro Gordo Tuesday in non-conference high school baseball.

 

The Hilltoppers got back-to-back-back home runs in the second inning from Eric Cooper, Liam Smith, and Landon Smith. Liam Smith hit two runs and drove in four runs on the afternoon. Franklin Wade finished with four RBIs. Land Smith, Chance Payne, and Cooper all had three RBIs for Mt. Pulaski.

 

Cooper struck out six in three innings of three-run ball for the Hilltoppers. 

 

Mt. Pulaski goes to 10-0 overall. They will host Argenta-Oreana this afternoon.
