HS Baseball: Lexington Rolls Mt. Pulaski

Jaxson Goodrich held down a high-powered Mt. Pulaski offense and Lexington took down the Hilltoppers 11-1 in non-conference high school baseball action from Lexington Saturday.

 

Preston Wiltz had two RBIs for the Minutemen. 

 

Franklin Wade had the lone run driven in for Mt. Pulaski while Eric Cooper stole a base. Landon Smith, Tyler Cross, Wade, and Kolin Gibbs recorded hits for Mt. Pulaski.

 

It's the first loss of the season for Mt. Pulaski who drops to 12-1 overall. The Hilltoppers embark on a busy week starting with a home matchup against Riverton Monday, a home matchup with Heyworth Tuesday before hitting the road Thursday to travel to Illini Bluffs for a Tomahawk Conference game and then finishing the week out with Central State Conference opponents Springfield Southeast Friday and a double dip at Springfield Lanphier Saturday.
