A four-run seventh inning helped Auburn take down Maroa-Forsyth 7-4 in Sangamo Conference high school baseball action Thursday in Forsyth.
The big inning was highlighted by a two-run double from Jed Ferguson to break a 3-3 tie.
Maroa-Forsyth got a run back in its half of the seventh but the Trojans' rally fell short.
Ace Giles doubled in a run for Maroa-Forsyth in the first inning. Andy Munjoy drove in a run as well. Tate Brandenburg finished 1-for-4.
Maroa-Forsyth falls to 16-3 overall and 5-2 in the Sangamo Conference. They are scheduled to host St. Joseph-Ogden this afternoon.
