Normal West split a double dip with Hononegah on Saturday, winning the opener 3-2 but dropped the second game, 11-7.

Sean Jenkins went six inings of two-run ball for Normal West. The junior struck out eight, walked one and allowed four hit. Leif Blair finished off the win for the Wildcats.

Brady Hart and Jenkins drove in runs. Trent Durham and Chase Reinhart stole bases for the Wildcats.

In the second game, Hart drove in two finishing 2-for-4. Knuth, Sam DesCarpentrie, and Jaxson Crancer doubled for Normal West. Crancer, Knuth, and Alex Olson drove in runs for the Wildcats.

With Saturday's split, Normal West goes to 13-10 overall. They are at Peoria Notre Dame on Monday.
