The Clinton Maroons boys baseball squad opened up a 6-1 advantage in after the first inning and never looked back as they routed Heyworth 13-3 in six innings Saturday from Clinton High School after the game was moved to Clinton and the Maroons were still considered the road team.
Travis Osgood went 5.2 innings allowing three runs, two earned on nine hits, walking five and striking out four.
Wesley Conn closed out the game and drew four walks at the plate with a base hit.
Mac Hickman finished 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs while Isaac Woodward and Levi Nettles added a pair of hits apiece.
The Maroons are 1-0 on the season after snow called off a pair of games last week.
