Clinton Officials Remind Residents of Zoning Regulations

If you have been out in your yard working with loose brush and debris from trees, City of Clinton officials have a few reminders for how to handle the loose brush and debris.

Nan Crang is the Streets and Public Improvements commissioner for the City of Clinton reminds residents of some of the regulations regarding yard waste. She says pick up for tree limbs and yard waste is the third Monday of the month, and also those crews out cleaning up the streets will be out until they have gotten to all the streets. She says it can be up to a three or four day process.

The weeks between the brush pick up dates, Crang encourages residents to keep the brush off the roads until the Monday of the pick up dates. She says it makes the job of the city street workers easier when they go through the city.

April through November the street sweeper runs through the town around two times a month. Crang says the goal of the city is to keep the streets well kept, especially prior to weekends and holiday weekends. She asks for residents to be aware of the street departments regulations and what they are trying to do.
