Investigation into the scene of an accident, which occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2011, revealed that a vehicle driven by Hannah Long, 17, Clinton was eastbound on Thorps, west of Burr Oak Road. Long drove off the road to the right, drove back onto the road and lost control skidding sideways striking a sign post and concrete pillar. Long was transported by Ambulance to OSF St. Joseph Hospital. No citations were issued.

 

Investigation into the scene of an accident, which occurred at approximately 5:49 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011, revealed that a vehicle driven by Kalob Followell, 18, DeWitt was westbound on Rt. 10 east of Hampshire Rd when he traveled into the eastbound land and off the south side of the road. The driver said he abruptly turned the steering wheel to the right, causing the vehicle to skid out of control. The vehicle turned sideways on the roadway causing it to overturn on its driver’s side. Followell was uninjured. No citations were issued.
