On Wednesday morning just before 1 am, the Clinton Fire Department was called to the 800 block of West Webster where a dugout at one of the baseball fields at Moore Park was set on fire. By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the dugout was fully involved. Two trucks were sent out and it took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to handle the situation. The dugout at the park was completely destroyed. The Illinois Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate the fire. Officials do not have a concrete time frame on when the investigation may conclude.
