Five county farm bureaus in Western Illinois are teaming up for the Bushels For Hunger program again this year. Farmers can donate some of their grains when they take them to the elevators. District Three Illinois Farm Bureau Director Wayne Anderson says he hopes this year's challenging growing conditions don't keep farmers from participating.

The donated grains will be sold and the money will go to the Riverbend Food Bank to help feed the poor. It's the second year for the program, which runs until November 30th. The Rock Island, Mercer, Henry, Stark and Whiteside County Farm Bureaus are participating in the program.
