Chamber Week in Clinton Kicks Off

As was heard on the WHOW yesterday afternoon, it is Chamber Week in Clinton, and throughout the week there will be many opportunities for the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce to have the spotlight shown on them.

The Chamber of Commerce not only works with businesses in the area, but also works in promoting the city and bringing people to Clinton. President of the Chamber Board Scott Williamson feels the greatest strength in being a part of the Chamber is they are their own advertising agency.

Carolyn Sugg was hired on at the Chamber just a few years ago as the Tourism Director. She says while Tourism is nothing new to the Clinton Chamber, she felt as though utilizing social media was a great place to turn in promoting Clinton and the many things the City has to offer.

Again Chamber Week is a nationally recognized week throughout the United States and this week is Chamber of Commerce Week in Clinton. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony downtown Thursday afternoon, and the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding their open house Thursday afternoon, all as a part of Chamber Week in Clinton.
