The Clinton Board of Education meets this evening for their regularly monthly meeting.

The Board will begin tonight's meeting by approving their budget for fiscal year 2012. Clinton Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jeff Holmes says this is the time of year when that budget must be submitted to the state. He notes the meeting will start at 6:15 for the public hearing on the budget.

The Board will discuss the High School's Homecoming Parade and Powder Puff football game taking place on Wednesday night. Recently the district has had some concerns expressed because of the local churches activities conflicting with the School's events. Dr. Holmes says the school is very willing to work with the local churches to make sure the students can be a part of both activities.
