Jones says he’s confident lawmakers are not going to allow the governor to shut down seven state facilities but AFSCME Council 31 spokesman Anders Lindall says Quinn must be taken seriously.

Quinn says lawmakers haven’t given him enough money to operate the facilities and if they don’t pass a supplemental budget, he’s shutting them down.  That will put nearly two thousand people out of work.  Senator Jones says this will be an issue of priority when lawmakers head back to Springfield next month.
