Retired Judge Ron Dozier has been picked to serve as McLean County's top prosecutor.
The county board voted 13-6 Tuesday to name Dozier interim McLean County state's attorney.
Dozier was selected from a field of 5 applicants that included First Assistant State's Attorney Jane Foster and former prosecutor Mark Messman.
Dozier is taking over for Bill Yoder, who stepped down to become an associate judge for the 11th Judicial Circuit.
A permanent replacement will be elected next year.
