Carlos Zambrano is apparently on his way out of the Windy City. ESPN is reporting that the Cubs have traded "Big Z" to the Miami Marlins in exchange for veteran right-handed pitcher Chris Volstad. The deal, which is pending physicals, requires the Northsiders to pay $15-million of the $18-million owed to Zambrano in 2012. The Venezuelan had several highly publicized emotional outbursts with the Cubs last season, which ultimately led to to a suspension. He finished 9-and-7 with a 4.82 ERA. The 6-foot-8, 25-year-old Volstad went 5-and-13 with a 4.89 ERA last season with the Marlins.
