Monticello Schools In Pursuit of One-To-One Computing

Like a lot of schools around the country, the one school district continues to work towards keeping the latest technology in their classrooms.

The Monticello School district is working towards having a computing device in the hands of every student in the district. Superintendent of Monticello Schools Dr. Vic Zimmerman explains the district has been working for several years now to keep their technology current. He says the broad goal for the district is to have those devices in place for all their students.

Dr. Zimmerman says right now the district is in the very early stages of making the one-to-one computing dream a reality. He says they have recently taken steps to get the process underway.

The district has announced plans to investigate into the future of their facilities. Part of the new facilities would include upgrades to accommodate for new technology.
