Alabama Blanks LSU In BCS Title Game

Trent Richardson's 34-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter put the exclamation point on Alabama's dominating 21-0 win over LSU in the BCS National Championship Game.  Richardson rushed for 96 yards on 20 carries to help the Crimson Tide claim victory in the BCS title game for the second time in three seasons.  Jeremy Shelley booted five field goals, while the Alabama defense held LSU to only 92 yards of total offense.  The Crimson Tide ends the year 12-and-1.  Jordan Jefferson was just 11-of-17 for 53 yards and an interception for LSU, which wraps up the season 13-and-1.  The Tigers combined to rush for only 39 yards on 27 carries in the loss.
