Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 2:44 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, revealed that a vehicle driven by Daniel Wilson, 37, DeWitt, was traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 54 just east of Sesame Road when the driver lost control, crossing the centerline going completely into the westbound lane, off the road where it overturned. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Wilson was taken to John Warner Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Wilson was issued citations for Driving Under Influence, Driving While License Revoked, Improper Lane Usage-Laned Roadway. Wilson was given a Notice To Appear and was released.
Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Friday, January 13, revealed that a vehicle driven by Brandon Hardwick, 29, Clinton, was traveling northbound on Green Valley Road, approximately one mile south of IL-10. As he was ascending an incline, the tires began to spin on icy pavement, causing the vehicle to slide sideways. The car continued to slide backwards into the ditch on the west side of the road, where it struck a tree. There were no injuries reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, revealed that a vehicle driven by Richard Thayer, 55, Clinton, was traveling westbound on IL-54, near Turnbride Hill Road. The vehicle went off the road to the north, down an embankment and struck a concrete culvert. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Thayer was issued a citation for Fail To Report Accident To Police.
Penny Small, 30, Atlanta, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Small was issued a notice to appear and was released.
Jeremy Harms, 34, Decatur, was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage and No Valid Driver’s License. Harms being unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.
Cynthia Stevens, 27, Mt Zion, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Stevens posted her IL Drivers license as bond and was released.
Cody Parker, 20, Highland Park, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Parker posted his IL Drivers license as bond and was released.
Jon Williams, 47, Indianapolis, IN, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Williams was given a notice to appear and was released.
Amy Reed, 34, Clinton, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Reed posted her IL Drivers license as bond and was released.
ALL SUSPECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
