U.S. Senator Mark Kirk has apparently been hospitalized after suffering a stroke.  His office says the Illinois Republican suffered the stroke over the weekend and had surgery today in Chicago.  Doctors are apparently very confident he'll make a recovery.

DeWitt County Board Member and local farmer, Terry Ferguson is the head of the Senator's Ag Advisory Committee. Ferguson says he is praying for the Senator and wishes him a speedy recovery.

Ferguson doesn't expect the Senator's health to be a factor in the future of the Ag Committee.
