Illini Fall Out of Top 25

The Fighting Illini entered their game at Penn State last week at first place in the Big Ten Conference and ranked #24 in the AP Top 25 poll. New rankings released this morning have the Illini out of the top 25 after a road loss to Penn State Thursday night then suffering their first home loss Sunday afternoon verse Wisconsin. The Illini's stay atop the Big Ten was short lived, as they have dropped to 4-3 and 15-5 overall. The Illini play at Minnesota Saturday.

In this week's top 25 AP Poll, Kentucky came in at #1 with 61 first place votes. Mizzout improves to #2 and after their first loss of the season, Syracuse drops to #3. Ohio State and Kansas round out the top 5 respectively.
