The Clinton Lady Maroons are not only hosting a Class 2A basketball regional this year, but they are also the top seed in the upcoming event.
Clinton has been named the number-1 seed in the Class 2A girls regional set to run the week of February 6th at Clinton Community High School. The Lady Maroons drew a first round bye with the top seed. St. Teresa also earned a bye with the second seed.
The girls regional tips off on February 6th with #4 Maroa-Forsyth taking on #5 Monticello at 6pm, and #3 Warrensburg-Latham facing #6 Argenta-Oreana at 8pm. Clinton will face the winner of the Maroa-Forsyth/Monticello matchup on Wednesday, February 8th at 6pm; while St. T takes on the winner of Warrensburg-Latham/A-O Feb. 8th at 8pm. The Regional Championship is set for Friday, February 10th at 7:30pm.
The winner of the Clinton Regional takes part in the St. Joe-Ogden Sectional the following week.
