Tomorrow night is the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner.
This year the annual event features an awards ceremony. Carolyn Sugg, with the Clinton Chamber explains this year they have decided to give awards at the annual dinner and hopes it will be a mainstay in the future. The Chamber has come up with 3 awards to outline the positive things happening in the community. Sugg says a "Small Business of 2011", "Large Business of 2011", and "Clintonian of the Year Awards" will be given out at this year's dinner.
Voting for the awards ended earlier in January.
This year's dinner theme is one of an urban setting which will be used to show off the Chamber's new Barn Quilts. Sugg explains the dinner is going to be themed with BBQ and friend chicken and then after the meal and awards presentation they will be raffling two small barn quilts for the winners location of choice at their home.
The Chamber's Annual Dinner takes place tomorrow night January 28th at the new Copper and Brass Room on Madison Street. Things kick off with a social hour beginning at 5. The awards ceremony will begin at 6 with dinner to immediately follow.
Tickets for the annual event can be purchased at the Chamber office at 100 South Center Street, Suite 101 on Mr. Lincoln Square in downtown Clinton. Tickets are $35 a person, $60 for a couple, and tables of eight can be purchased for $240.
