The Monitcello Sages faced off against the Meridian Hawks this afternoon in their second game of the conference tournament. The Sages were coming off of a win lastnight against the Argenta-Oreana Bombers. The Hawks put up quite the fight against the Sages in the first two quarters due to the Sages' lack of momentum. They led the first with a score of 23-17. The Sages came out to the second picking up their game and closing the gap, the score at the end of the second was 32-28 in favor of the Hawks. Both teams played back and forth and at the end of the first half the score was led by the Hawks with 49-45. The final score of tonight's showdown was 70-66 in favor of the Monticello Sages.
