 The St. Louis Cardinals could be close to landing a veteran arm.  Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Redbirds are nearing a deal with starting pitcher Roy Oswalt [[ OZE-walt ]].  The Cardinals despute that they have a deal in place and some say Oswalt could be heading to play with the Texas Rangers instead.  The 34-year-old right-hander went 9-and-10 with a 3.69 ERA for the Philadelphia Phillies last season.  Oswalt has gone 159-and-93 in his 10-year-career with a 3.21 ERA.
