Lincoln Police have made an arrest in connection with a January 22 shooting.

Police arrested a 28-year old man Tuesday afternoon in connection with a January 22 shooting on North Jefferson Street on charges of armed violence, aggravated discharge of a firearm and possession of a weapon by a felon.

The victim was shot in the right side of his chest and was released from a Springfield hospital after treatment. The injuries were not life threatening.

The suspects name cannot be released until after he has been formally charged.
