>> Creighton Drops ISU

Doug McDermott scored 17 of his 25 points in the first half to lead six Creighton players in double figures and the 13th-ranked Bluejays rode a fast start to a 102-74 victory over Illinois State on Wednesday night.

The Bluejays (21-2, 11-1 Missouri Valley Conference) won their 11th straight overall and fourth in a row against the Redbirds (14-9, 6-6).

Creighton broke out to a 17-2 lead making eight straight shots and 10 of its first 11, and McDermott was in double figures inside 8 minutes.

Grant Gibbs had 12 points and seven assists, Jahenns Manigat and Will Artino added 11 points each and Gregory Echenique and Josh Jones had 10 apiece.

Tyler Brown had 21 points, Bryant Allen added 14 and Nic Moore and Jon Ekey had 11 apiece for the Redbirds.

Creighton went over 100 points for the second time this season. The Bluejays scored 104 against Campbell.

>> Evansville Tops Bradley

Denver Holmes and Ryan Sawvell had the first double-doubles of their careers as Evansville routed Bradley 92-62 on Wednesday night.

Colt Ryan added 24 points and Ned Cox 10 for the Purple Aces (11-11, 6-6 Missouri Valley), who ended a 2-game slide.

Holmes tied his career high with 23 points and added a career-best 11 assists. Sawvell, a freshman, had 12 points and 16 rebounds. Sawvell reached a double-double in the first half, when he had 10 points and 11 boards.

Taylor Brown scored 18 points to lead the Braves (6-18, 1-11), who have dropped five straight. Jake Eastman added 11 and Jordan Prosser 10.

The Aces led 53-24 when Bradley's Jalen Crawford sank a half-court shot at the halftime buzzer to cut the deficit to 26.

Evansville, which swept the season series, shot 60.3%, hitting 41 of 68.

Evansville grabbed its first 30-point road victory in 13 years.
