Two Republican incumbents who represent Illinois districts in the U.S. House won't have primary challengers.

U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert of Hinsdale and U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock of Peoria won't face challengers in Illinois' Republican primary on March 20.

The Illinois State Board of Elections ruled 5-3 on Thursday that farmer Darrel Miller of Danvers was 17 signatures short of the 600 he needed to qualify to run against Schock. Miller says he was disappointed, but should have "worked harder" to get more signatures.

The state board also voted to remove 2 of Biggert's opponents from the ballot. The board ruled Kane County Clerk Jack Cunningham was 74 votes short because of problems with addresses on his petitions. Former Joliet mayoral candidate Diane Harris also was removed for incorrect addresses.
