Businesses that hire veterans in Illinois could soon be entitled to a five-thousand dollar tax credit.  Governor Quinn will ask lawmakers to support the idea in his Budget Address on February 22nd.  He says it’s important to invest in the heroic men and women who served the nation, particularly because the veterans unemployment rate in Illinois is disproportionately high.  Quinn says veterans are entitled to have a job in Illinois and he’s committed to making sure it happens.
