Accidents on the farm have risen sharply in Illinois in recent years, and a local FFA chapter is hoping to curb that trend locally by hosting a free event Monday night.
The Maroa-Forsyth FFA Chapter invites all area farmers and their families to attend their 1st annual Farm Safety Night & Dinner Monday night at the high school cafetorium. Chapter President Chris Scott explains the event is aimed at sharing a wealth of information about farm safety and emergency planning.

The Maroa-Forsyth FFA officers have worked with several local businesses in order to make the event free to attend. Ryan Scott, Chapter Sentinel, notes the topics addressed during the night will range from general farm safety and transportation safety to emergency planning and electrical safety.
