(Mesa, AZ) -- The Chicago Cubs' pitchers and catchers reported to HoHoKam Park in Mesa, Arizona on Saturday for the start of spring training. The Northsiders' position players are slated to report on Thursday. Chicago's first spring game is Sunday, March 4th against Oakland.
Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox' pitchers and catchers are expected to report to Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona on Wednesday. Position players do not have to report until next Monday. The ChiSox play their first spring game Monday, March 5th against the L.A. Dodgers.

(Jupiter, FL) -- The St. Louis Cardinals opened up spring training this weekend. Pitchers and catchers reported to Jupiter, Florida and the first workout was held yesterday. Position players are due to report later this week. The Cards open Grapefruit League play against the Miami Marlins on March 5th.

(Jupiter, FL) -- The St. Louis Cardinals and catcher Yadier Molina have stopped their current contract talks. The 29-year-old backstop hit .305 last season with 14 homers and 65 RBI, and could be looking for a high-dollar deal when his current contract is up following the 2012 season. Molina told the "Post-Dispatch" that he won't be offering St. Louis a "hometown discount," but did indicate that he is willing to negotiate during the upcoming season.
