Illinois Gets C For Job Growth

Nearly 650-thousand people are out of work in Illinois.  Doug Whitley, with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, says state leaders must do something to turn the economy around.

Whitley says that means lawmakers must tighten the purse strings and stop overspending.  He says Illinois must pay down its debt, reduce corporate income tax levels, and restructure the Medicaid and pension systems.  Whitley gives the state a "C" when it comes to job development but Governor Quinn says he's done a much better than average job creating new jobs.
