Governor Quinn is slashing funding to several programs this year but he says veterans' programs aren't on that list.

Quinn is asking lawmakers to extend a five thousand tax credit to businesses that hire Iraq an Afghan war veterans.  It'll also give businesses a 20-percent credit for the wages they pay veterans, up to five thousnad dollars a year.
