4-H Scholarship Applications Due Soon

DeWitt County students involved in 4-H are running out of time to take advantage of college scholarship opportunities.

There are deadlines looming for 4-H Foundation scholarships available for 2012. This Thursday marks the deadline for a couple of $1-thousand scholarships available to students. Sherry Fulton, Youth Development Educator for the University of Illinois Extension offices explains those scholarships do have some guidelines that must be met to apply for them.

Fulton says there are a lot more scholarship opportunities than these 4-H scholarships available to students. She encourages seniors applying for colleges to talk to their school's guidance counselor to find out all the opportunities they have.
