Bears, Rams Preseason Schedule Released; Torry Holt Retires Ram

>>Bears Preseason Schedule Announced

(New York, NY)  --  The Chicago Bears preseason schedule was released on Wednesday.  Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall will go up against their former team the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning in the Bears first preseason game from Soldier Field.  Chicago will host the Washington Redskins in their second preseason tilt before wrapping up its exhibition slate at the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns, respectively.  Specific dates and times for all four games will be released later in the offseason.

>>Rams' Preseason Schedule Released

(New York, NY)  --  The Rams' preseason schedule has been released.  St. Louis could get first crack at rookie Andrew Luck as the Rams open in August at Indianapolis.  The Rams then host the Chiefs, play at Dallas and host Baltimore to close out the exhibition slate.  Exact dates haven't been finalized.

>>Cards, Saints To Open NFL Preseason Slate

(New York, NY)  --  The Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints will square off in the NFL's first nationally televised preseason game of 2012.  The NFL has announced its preseason slate of national TV games.  The Cards and Saints will meet in the annual Hall of Fame Game Sunday, August 5th in Canton, Ohio on the NFL Network.  Among the other games that highlight the preseason national television schedule are the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders on ESPN Monday, August 13th, the Super Bowl champion New York Giants and Chicago Bears on CBS Friday, August 24th, and Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos against the San Francisco 49ers on FOX Sunday, August 26th.

>>Holt Retires A Ram

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Torry Holt is retiring as a Ram.  The longtime standout wide receiver signed a one-day contract with the Rams and retired from the NFL.  The move came more than three years after he was released by the Rams following 10 standout seasons.  Holt was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection.
