Jay Prosch's mother can't wait to see him play football for Auburn.
The fullback transferred from Illinois after last season to be closer to home and his cancer-stricken mother, Iris.
She was diagnosed nearly a year ago with a brain tumor and says it's "a motivation and a goal" to see him play this season.
Auburn is still waiting for word from the NCAA on whether Prosch (Prosh) will receive a hardship waiver allowing him to play immediately.
Regardless, the sophomore is now only a few hours from home. He's been able to visit his mother frequently and 1 of his three sisters is also attending Auburn.
Iris Prosch says "there really aren't words to express how comforting it is" to be able to see all of her children regularly.
