Blues, 'Hawks Begin Playoff Runs Tonight

>>Blues Open Stanley Cup Quest

(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Central Division Champion Blues will open up their Stanley Cup quest tonight in game one against the Sharks.  The second seeded Blues finished the 2012 campaign at 49-22-and-11 after failing to qualify for postseason play last year.  Coach Ken Hitchcock will go with Jaroslav Halak between the pipes for game one.  Halak will start in place of Brian Elliott, who continues to suffer from an upper body injury that occurred against Detroit last week.  San Jose closed out the season winning their final four games to finish up at 43-29-and-10.  Game Two of the seven game series is slated for Saturday.

(Glendale, AZ)  --  The Chicago Blackhawks' playoff run begins this evening.  The 'Hawks square off against the Phoenix Coyotes in Game One of the Western Conference playoffs at Jobing.com Arena.  Sixth-seeded Chicago and the third-seeded 'Yotes will also play Game Two in Glendale on Saturday.  The Blackhawks ended the regular season with a 3-2 shootout win over Detroit last weekend.
